Colorado Irish Festival Tournament

Regulators Hurling to play the Colorado Irish Festival

The Colorado Irish Festival commemorated its 21st Anniversary in July 2015!

Held in the heather of Clement Park in Littleton, with a backdrop of the Rocky Mountain Highlands, the Colorado Irish Festival celebrates all that is Green. This eclectic gathering of tens of thousands is known throughout the west for its outrageous display of kilts and bagpipes; Gaelic sports and Irish step dancing; and the best Irish rock and classic music this side of the Emerald Isle. The 2016 line up promises to be a memorable weekend of great entertainment.

If you thought St. Patty’s was fun, imagine 3 days of non-stop celebration.

Save the date for July 8-10, 2016!

Player Information:
We are just a few short days away from the Colorado Irish Festival Tournament We are very excited to have you all out and are very much looking forward to some top notch competitive games!  Whether you are driving from far away, flying or just heading down the street, safe travels and be sure to let us know if you need anything or have any issues.  Below is some information about the festival, the tournament, and the after tournament social.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Tournament Schedule: Attached is the final schedule for Saturday’s games, let me know if you have questions.  Note that all teams are requested to help out do lines and goal reffing duty, please make sure your volunteers check in with the referee and are ready to go 5 mins before the match starts.
Tournament Schedule
Tournament Check-In:  Check in opens at 7:30am on Saturday and closes at 9am.  Please find the big white tent with the sign that says “check in” to get your tournament packet and cooler/ice.  In the tournament packet will be your festival bracelets (to get into the festival), a copy of the schedule, plastic bags for ice packs and directions to the after party.
Water/Snacks at Tournament: There will be large water coolers and ice at both fields as well as Gatorade and snacks.  You will also get a medium (ish) size cooler with a bag of ice to keep with your team to keep drinks cool and use for first aid if you need.
Massage Therapists at Tournament:  We will have two massage therapists at the fields all day on Saturday, so let your players know to get their names on the list early and tipping is very much appreciated 🙂
First Aid – Hopefully all will go well and injury free, but we all know accidents happen.  We have a general first aid kit at the check-in tent and will have an ambulance on site as well in case of larger emergencies…let’s not utilize this….   If minor first aid is needed we have plenty of registered nurses that will be on site to help patch everyone up.
Post Tournament Social @ The Irish Rover 54 South Broadway 7:30pm Start-  Now the real fun begins!  Our group has space reserved outside on the Lower Patio.  When you walk in the front door, walk all the way to the back, up a couple stairs and you’re there.  We will have a light food spread out around 8pm, trophy presentations around 8:30pm and DJ Shay will start spinning the tunes shortly after 9pm.  Everyone is welcome, however per Colorado rules, under 21’s are not allowed in alcohol establishments after 9pm.
Okay, this is the meat of it!  I look forward to meeting you all Saturday!  Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, comments, or need anything.  Welcome to Colorado and I hope you have a great visit to mile high!
